Monthly gross
Monthly gross is not take-home pay and it is not landed cost. Employee social charges and tax come out of it. Employer charges, a 13th month, THR, Aguinaldo, or Spain's 14 payments sit on top unless a country note says otherwise.
Spain's published monthly figures on this site are annual cash divided by 14. Mexico excludes Aguinaldo and PTU. Brazil excludes the statutory 13th. USD typical is a conversion used in the guide, not a live FX feed.
FAQ
Questions we get
- Why not quote annual cash everywhere?
- Candidates and payroll teams in these markets talk monthly. Annual figures hide whether the country pays 12, 13, or 14 times. We quote monthly and spell out the extras.

Contribution base
The wage slice on which social charges are calculated — often capped, and not always equal to uncapped gross pay.
