Recruit in Poland
Foreign employers hire across a spread of Polish clusters rather than one capital market. Warsaw holds headquarters, finance and commercial teams; Krakow, Wroclaw and the Tri-City carry shared services and engineering centres; Poznan, Katowice and the Walbrzych and Lodz special economic zones carry automotive, battery, appliance and logistics plants; Rzeszow anchors aerospace. Searches get hard because strong candidates are already employed, notice periods run to three months, and English plus a second European language narrows shortlists quickly.
We source through direct approach on LinkedIn and Polish boards such as Pracuj.pl and No Fluff Jobs, plus referrals inside the Krakow and Wroclaw services community. Interviews are mostly online first, with a final panel in Warsaw or at the plant. Statutory notice reaches three months for longer-serving staff, so we plan start dates around it. Where no Polish entity exists yet, ArkTalents can employ the hire through in-country employment and run ZUS and PIT payroll.

Volume and shared services
Production operators (volume)

Local hire · first shortlist 5-10 working days
Technicians (volume)
Maintenance and automation technicians are the scarcest volume profile in Polish manufacturing and drive line uptime.
Local hire · first shortlist 10-15 working days
Customer-service agents (volume)
Krakow, Wroclaw and the Tri-City service centres hire agents by language, so German and Nordic speakers are the bottleneck.
Local hire · first shortlist 8-12 working days
Field sales (volume)
Field sales teams covering traditional trade across the voivodeships are hired in volume and turn over quickly.

Local vs expatriate
Who we shortlist
Almost every role here is filled by Polish nationals, with returnees from Germany, the UK and Ireland competing for plant and finance leadership. Expatriate placements are usually short technical transfers. Non-EU hires need a work permit under the 2025 Act on entrusting work to foreigners, or an EU Blue Card; Ukrainian nationals with UKR status are covered to March 2027.

Questions
FAQ
- How long to a first shortlist?
- Ten to fifteen working days for commercial and finance shortlists in Warsaw. Plant director, EHS and regulatory roles run twenty to thirty days, because the pool is small, German or French screening is often required, and candidates are serving three-month notice.
- Do you search local and expatriate candidates?
- Both. Most shortlists are Polish nationals, including returnees from Western Europe. We add expatriate and regional candidates when a client needs group reporting experience or a language we cannot find locally, and we advise on permit timing before an offer goes out.
- Which roles do you run most often here?
- Plant director, operations director, EHS manager and supply chain head for manufacturing clients in the special economic zones, finance manager and shared-service team lead for the Krakow and Wroclaw centres, and sales head and trade marketing manager for consumer goods entering Poland.
- Can you run this as RPO as well as retained search?
- Yes. We run RPO for production operators, maintenance technicians, multilingual customer-service agents and field sales, where volume and language screening matter more than search depth. Single senior hires, such as a country general manager or CFO, stay on retained search.
